Middle Ridge Rejuvenation
10th May 2026 at 8:00 am

Held in the Ourimbah State Forest on Middle Ridge Road and surrounding trails. The course starts and finishes on the 'closed to traffic' section of Middle Ridge Road where it meets Red Hill Road.

Wingello Warrior
30th May 2025 at 2:00pm

Held in the Wingello State Forest in collaboration with the NSW Siberian Express All Breeds Club. This year's course will be run on wide forest trails.

Wingello Whimsical Wayfarer
11th July 2026 at 2:00pm

Held in the Wingello State Forest in collaboration with The Siberian Husky Club of NSW. This year's course will be run on wide forest trails.

Race 6
Strickland Stinger
2nd August 2026

Held in the Strickland State Forest on various trails finishing the Ridge to Rainforest trail. The course starts at the Banksia Picnic area (top car park). Your choice of an approximate 4.5km or 9.3km trail run that is sure to test your skills. Each trail will take you on a journey from the aussie bush down into the rainforest and then back up to the bush. It's a roller coaster run that keeps you on your toes. Do we have your interest?

Some FAQ's

Do I have to be a club member to enter?

No, entry is open to anyone. Naturally, our club members get a special discount, and AFSS members also get a discount.

What are the entry fees?

Club Members $15, AFSS Members $20, and General Public $25.

Are there discounts for entering multiple races?

Club members can purchase a 'season pass' that covers all 7 events for $75.

Can anyone come and watch?

Sure, come and cheer on your favorite dog, and all the others as well.

What are the race "rules"?

Races will be run under the AFSS rules and regulations.

What race categories are there?

We will have men's, women's, and juniors.

How fit do I need to be?

You should be reasonably fit for the event you intend to enter. Some races would probably involve some hiking. Having stated that, you are welcome to hike anytime.

Are there age restrictions on dogs?

Dogs need to be 12 months old to enter into the canicross races. Younger pups can give some of the course a go (at your own risk) after the event has been run.

What vaccination requirements are there for dogs?

Dogs need to be vaccinated, minimum C3 and Kennel Cough, or have a recent titre test (within 12 months),for more details see the AFSS regulations.

What about the weather?

Unless it's really bad, we intend to race. Some say a bit of rain gives it extra character or challenge. If it's really bad we will try to reschedule the race.

What type of race start will be used?

It will depend on the number of entrants, we usually do a couple of small "wave" starts of 4-6 per wave at 30 second intervals.
